Spanish Grand Prix-------Massa Makes Merry!!!

After testing for almost a month and with three drivers tied on the top spot, Spanish Grand Prix was filled with a lot of expectations. It had a great qualifying, one of the best I should say for ages. The new turns added in the final sector did not seem to trouble any of the drivers.

It was an almost perfect race for Fellipe Massa except the First corner hiccup from alonso and a pit lane fire at the first pit stop. Otherwise it was just a brilliant race by Massa. He had an excellent Qualifying and followed it up with even more better race. The same cannot be said about his teammate Kimi Raikonnen. If there was anyone who was most disappointed that would be Kimi. We can term it unlucky to lose on with an engine failure at the early stages of the race. But there is still time to bounce back.

F1 Racing had a great driver retiring last season but we can say there is a perfect replacement for him in the form of the rookie Lewis Hamilton. The maturity with which he has been driving his Mclaren took everyone in the F1 world by surprise. He infact leads the Driver's championship at this point of time with no race wins but 4 podium places. We could well see him surging past Alonso in the points tally at the end. Alonso had mixed fortunes this race. He would have loved to win in front of his home crowd. But, a 3rd place finish was not less.

Another team which showed quite some power to match the ferrari's and Mclaren's is BMW Williams. It has an excellent straight line speed and both the drivers are now quite experienced. Nick Hiedfield will be diappointed though with his pit crew's blunder during his first stop and eventually it cost him the race and a good 5 points.

The Renault's are thriving to make a comeback. They have infact worked on their 3 stop strategy for Kovalainen pretty well. But made a blunder with Fisichella.

All set now for the bigger races to come this season. Can Ferrari which has been fantastic in North America as always stop the rookie Hamilton? We have to just wait and watch.

Until then, its bye from my side. Wish u a Happy and Safe Driving.

Thankyou
